Orbit Lite now ships with a full light UI mode — reworked for readability in bright environments. Switch between dark and light in preferences.

Since launching Orbit Lite, one request has come up more than any other: light mode.

It makes sense. Not everyone works in a dimmed control room. Some studios run with the lights on, university labs are fluorescent-lit by default, and some people just prefer a lighter interface — especially during long sessions where eye strain adds up.

So as of today, Orbit Lite ships with a full light UI mode.

What’s changed

The entire interface has been reworked for light backgrounds — waveform rendering, metering, transport controls, the lot. It’s not a quick invert; every element has been considered for readability and contrast in bright environments.

You can switch between dark and light mode in preferences. Your choice persists between sessions.

What hasn’t changed

Everything else. Orbit Lite remains a standalone ADM BWF playback tool for macOS. Load a file, hit play, monitor binaurally through headphones. No additional software or hardware required. £29, one-time purchase.
