It’s been a focused few weeks at Orbit HQ.

Today we’re introducing Orbit Lite, a streamlined ADM playback tool at £29 — alongside Orbit 1.2.1, a substantial update to the main Orbit app.

Introducing Orbit Lite — £29

Sometimes you don’t need object inspection, QC tools, or head tracking.

You just need to load an ADM file and listen.

Orbit Lite is designed exactly for that. Drop in your ADM BWF, choose your output — 7.1.4, Binaural, or Stereo — and press play. You get clean routing, a detailed waveform display, and reliable immersive playback. Nothing more. Nothing unnecessary.

Binaural playback is included (non head-tracked), making Lite ideal for composers, broadcast engineers, and anyone who needs simple, dependable ADM monitoring.

It’s immersive audio without friction.

Orbit Lite vs Orbit

Orbit Lite focuses on playback. Orbit focuses on inspection, validation, and export.

If you need object-level analysis, loudness metering, custom HRTFs, PDF reporting, or binaural WAV export — that’s where the full version comes in.

Lite opens the door. Orbit goes deeper.

Pricing Update

The full version of Orbit is currently £79 inc. VAT (£39 education). Launch pricing ends in early June, when it moves to £99 (£49 education).

If you’ve been considering it, now is the time.

Orbit Lite is coming soon — macOS first, with a Windows version to follow. More details on availability shortly.

A Note on Windows

We know Windows support is important.

Orbit’s architecture requires a completely new UI layer for Windows rather than a simple port. As a small team, we’re building it properly rather than quickly.

It’s coming. We’ll share more when we can.

Orbit 1.2.1 — What’s New

Alongside Lite, we’ve shipped a meaningful update to the main app.

Stability Improvements

Long PDF exports no longer crash on extended sessions.

Sample rate mismatches now automatically reinitialise the audio device to match the ADM file.

Playback simply works.

Improved PDF Waveforms

PDF exports now include fully detailed waveform renders, significantly improving clarity for archiving and client delivery.

New: Binaural WAV Export

You can now export a binaural WAV render directly from Orbit.

The export reflects your current binaural configuration — including any custom SOFA file — ensuring accurate, personalised output rather than a generic render.

Perfect for client references, archiving, or quick headphone listening.

In-App Updates

Orbit now handles updates internally. Download. Close. Replace. Reopen. Done.
